home/revolution_garminpic.jpgLeMond Fitness today announced that its new Revolution will become the official bike trainer of Team Garmin-Transitions, the top American cycling team dedicated to ethical sporting and developing the next generation of cycling champions. Team riders will use the trainer, which will be made available to consumers in summer 2010, for warm-up sessions during the remainder of the Pro Cycling season, including the Tour de France.

The LeMond Revolution is a resistance trainer that features High Inertia Technology (HIT) designed with a large, weighted flywheel that emulates the inertia of a rolling bicycle, spins freely when the pedals aren't engaged, and delivers progressive wind resistance similar to real-world conditions. The design is inspired by the original wind resistance trainer that bike legend Greg LeMond used to prepare for victories in multiple world cycling events, including the Tour de France.

"The Revolution has an incredibly solid feeling to it, something that is often missing from rear wheel trainers," said Team Garmin-Transitions cyclist David Millar. "This is due to its unique design and very high quality engineering. Add to this the real-world sensations offered by the fan wheel and they have developed one of the best trainers I've ever used. I own about four home training devices at home, the Revolution has instantly become the favorite."
